legal virus.

It's not a virus. It's a cute friend that wants to steal your computer mouse when you close tabs.

it's a joke.)

how do i open the .goos file if i want to change its behavior

(+1)

you open it with notepad

im on mac and there is no notepad app

Any text editor should be fine. Just need to select that when it asks what you want to open it with. Or, however Macs work, I've never had one myself.

download a app like notepad

love this

He honks whenever he goes to pull something from off screen, and whenever you close a tab.

hold escape to get rid of the goose but you cant bring it back by holding escape

Have any of you had a problem on mac with the goose just walking away and not coming back. It happens to me every time

Most of the time it crashes when it tries to do that.

You can stop it by running it in terminal instead of directly

(+1)

how do I delete the goose if they have grabbed my mouse?

hold esc

DO NOT CLOSE HIM WHILE HE HAS THE MOUSE

it will cause the mouse to get stuck here it was when you closed him only logging out/back in will fix it.

to close the goose any other time hold ESC for about 20 seconds top left you will see a message saying keep holding

if you re-open the game by using the arrow keys to navigate the menu your mouse works again

coollllllllllllll I love it

I absolutely appreciate the work and the idea pf this project but I've tried holding my escape button for 20+ Sec. and the goose does not come up, it may just be a problem with my brand of computer as well.

you summon the goose by running the program. holding esc gets rid of him

oh, duh. Turns out it does work thanks

hold escape

2. Install Wine ( https://wiki.winehq.org/Debian )

3. Run the executable

(+3)

plz add it to chrome book. I want my goose plz

(+1)

Thats not gonna be a easy task...

i agree i really want it on chromebook :(((

or maby on phone too

If you have an Android phone, go to winehq.org and download the apk, it won't be on top of all apps tho...

That wine doesn't work at all for Android. It's misleading, as it doesn't actually run Windows applications.

1. Get Linux support on your Chromebook (look on Google on how to do that)

2. Install Wine ( https://wiki.winehq.org/Debian )

3. Run the executable

HOW DO I GET RID OF IT!!!!

go into task manager, and click "goosedesktop (32 bit)" if you don't find it, just keep looking. it'll be there somewhere. in the bottom right hand corner of the task manager window, you'll see a little button that says "end task" if you do end task, it eliminates the goose from existance... for now.

You can also press and hold esc

(+1)

press esc look at top left then wait till its all red then he'll leave

Thank you

i cant get the goose off my mac. esc does not work, so i deleted it. it is still on the screen.IM PANICKING DHJHVLJKHSGQIUDHIVJLKKH

how do i get it off? i already deleted the download and held down esc multiple times. my parents are gonna kill me, this is a new computer and it wont come off. please help me.

Make sure you didn't just delete the shortcut you need to find the actual application  and delete it from there.

Open terminal and type

killall "Desktop Goose"

I downloaded it on Mac and it works fine but the commands don't seem to work, and how to you use commands in script editor?

drag the goose app onto the script app in the dock then wait till the command menu shows. Make a new script editor window and type in the command.

I think he should go with the webpage/document/other that I'm scrolling on.

I WANNA SEE A SQUISHED GOOSE

(+1)

This cured my loneliness

(+1)

you know what that can be cool and annoying at the same time that you make desktop goose drag the icons you have on your desktop around your hole screen and if you have a tab open he can close it by hiting the x or -

(+2)

I just want to know how to delete him after installing for failsafe reasons

hold escape to evict all active geese

(+1)

It says the file is denied and windows dose not have the permission to open it

What do i do

press more options and run

or open the file as an administrator

(+1)

is there a way to turn this lil feller off but still keep it?

(+1)

Ive had the same thought, I love playing games with my friends but my little goose gets super annoying sometimes and then I have to get rid of him, and then get him back, it gets really long and boering

if you’re on mac, there should be an icon next to it that will remove the goose until you reopen the file.

on windows, go to your home screen and hold down each for a really long time

i'm having a problem where when i try to run the program my computer gives me a message saying that windows protected my computer, this may just be my computer, but any solutions?

click more info then run anyway

click more info then "run"

Walking noise stops when the mouse is stolen.

At some angles especially when the goose is looking up his eyes are on the back of his head or on his beak.

I love this little guy, but I was wondering if there was some way for me to change the text colour on the notes the goose pulls up? I use the "dark" theme on a mac and so I can't see them if i'm running a game or anything that locks my cursor. Has anyone else had this problem? and if so, how would I fix it?

Very Nice XD.

I downloaded it, but I can't open it. It's a zip file and for some reason my computer says it can't open it? Can someone help me? I really want to use this.

Extract the file then run the .exe file

To extract the file right click it then click extract to then choose the destination you want it to extract to.

Can't seem to get it to show on my secondary monitor.
OS Win 10

Otherwise working as expected. Great work!

brought here by Jacksepticeye.

Hey! I was wondering if anyone knew how to make the download for this work for Mac 10.9.5? I think this is so cute but I can't do it :(

I have an issue where after some time of having the goose on my screen, both my monitors go black and then only one turns on until i restart my computer. Is it possible that the goose isn't compatible with dual monitors?

Can it work on a chromebook? :'))

Nope. Chromebooks can't run EXE or DMG files. Look into installing Linux on you Chromebook if you want to get some real use out of it.

Actually, you can enable Linux support and install Wine.

1. Get Linux support on your Chromebook (look on Google on how to do that)

2. Install Wine ( https://wiki.winehq.org/Debian )

3. Run the executable
